How to Resize Images for Your inSITE Templated Website

Size: 1080 x 910 px
Format: JPG
Image Type: Practitioner Photo
Size: 700 x 700 px (square)
Format: JPG
Note: Always save images in the correct format (PNG for logos, JPG for photos) before uploading.
Option 1: Resize Images Using Canva (Free & Easy)
Best for those who want a user-friendly, drag-and-drop interface.
- Go to www.canva.com
- Create a free account (if you don’t have one)
- Click “Create a design” > “Custom size”
- Enter the image dimensions (e.g., 300 x 220 for logos)
- Upload your image, drag it into the design area, and adjust it to fit
- Click Download (select JPG or PNG based on the requirements)
Bonus: Canva also lets you crop, center, and add branding elements.
Option 2: Resize with Simple Online Tools
For JPG images:
- Visit https://www.simpleimageresizer.com
- Click “Resize Image”
- Upload your image
- Choose “Custom Size”, enter width and height (in pixels)
- Click Resize, then download the image
For PNG logos:
- Try https://resizeimage.net
- Upload your image
- Scroll down to “Resize Your Image” section
- Set exact width and height
- Download the resized image
Option 3: Resize with Built-In Tools (Mac or Windows)
On a Mac:
- Open the image in Preview
- Click Tools > Adjust Size
- Enter width and height in pixels
- Click OK, then File > Save As
On Windows:
- Open the image in Photos
- Click the three-dot menu > Resize
- Choose Define custom dimensions
- Enter size (in pixels), then save a copy
Tips for Best Results
- Use high-quality images: Blurry or pixelated images won’t look professional
- Maintain aspect ratio: If cropping, keep the image proportional to avoid stretching
- Keep file sizes under 1MB if possible for faster loading
