How to Resize Images for Your inSITE Templated Website

inSITE Logo Requirements

Accepted File Types: JPG or PNG

File Size: 250 x 40 px

Option 1: Resize Images Using Canva (Free & Easy)

Best for those who want a user-friendly, drag-and-drop interface.

    • Create a free account (if you don’t have one).
    • Click “Create a design” then “Custom size.”
    • Enter the image dimensions (e.g., 250 x 40 px).
    • Upload your image, drag it into the design area, and adjust it to fit.
    • Click "Share" then "Download" (select JPG or PNG).

Bonus: Canva also lets you crop, center, and add branding elements.

Note: Before uploading, make sure your image is in JPG or PNG format and is smaller than 5 MB.

Best for: Quickly reducing file size while maintaining image quality.

  2. Drag and drop your JPG or PNG image onto the page.
  3. Wait while the image is compressed automatically.
  4. Download the compressed image.
  5. Confirm the file size is less than 5 MB before uploading.

Bonus: TinyPNG preserves image quality while significantly reducing file size.

Option 2: Compress Images Using ILoveIMG

Best for: Compressing multiple images at once.

  1. Visit https://www.iloveimg.com/compress-image
  2. Click "Select Images" and upload your JPG or PNG file(s).
  3. Click "Compress Images."
  4. Download the compressed image(s).
  5. Verify each file is less than 5 MB before uploading.

Option 3: Compress Images Using Adobe Express

Best for: Users who want additional editing options before uploading.

  2. Upload your JPG or PNG image.
  3. Adjust the compression level if needed.
  4. Download the compressed image.
  5. Check that the file size is less than 5 MB.

Tips for Best Results 

  • Use high-quality images: Blurry or pixelated images won’t look professional 
  • Maintain aspect ratio: If cropping, keep the image proportional to avoid stretching
