How to use QR Codes in Your Practice

Easily link to your inSITE store from your office

If you’re a chiropractor, nutritionist, or integrative practitioner looking to promote your inSITE store, Google reviews, social media, or email sign-up, a QR code is one of the easiest and most effective tools you can use.

With Canva, you can design beautiful, branded materials to display in your office or share online. This guide walks you through the process step by step.

Requirements

  • A free Canva account (visit canva.com and click "Sign Up" in the upper right-hand corner)
  • The link you want the QR code to point to (e.g., your inSITE store, review page, Instagram, etc.)

Step 1: Open Canva and Choose a Template

  1. Login to your Canva account.
  2. Click "Create" on the upper left-hand side.
  3. Choose what you would like to create from the categories on the left-hand side, or search in the search bar at the top. Templates for physical items like postcards, business cards, and flyers are available.
  4. Choose a template you like. You can customize everything, so just pick something close to your style.

Tip: Flyers or 5x7 cards work great for printed displays at check-in desks or supplement shelves.

Step 2: Generate a QR Code

  1. In your Canva design, click on the left-hand toolbar and look for “Apps”.
  2. In the Apps section, scroll or search for “QR Code” and click it.
  3. Paste your desired link.
  4. Click “Generate Code.” Your QR code will appear on your canvas. Resize or move it anywhere on your design.

Use different QR codes for different goals:

  • inSITE Store – Direct patients to shop or refill supplements.
  • Google Review Page – Ask for reviews after a visit.
  • Instagram or Facebook – Build your social following.
  • Email Sign-up Page – Grow your patient mailing list.

Step 3: Customize Your Design

  1. Add your logo, colors, and practice name.
  2. Include a headline. Here are some examples for inspiration:
    • “Order Supplements Online Anytime”
    • “Help Us Grow! Leave a Google Review”
    • “Stay Connected – Follow Us on Instagram”
  3. Use clean, readable fonts and keep your design simple.
  4. Make sure the QR code is not too small (aim for at least 1.5 inches wide if printing).

Step 4: Download and Print

  • Once you're happy with your design, click “Share” in the upper-right corner.
  • Choose Download > PDF for Print for physical copies or PNG/JPG for digital posts.
  • Print and display in your clinic.
    • You can either print these yourself or find a print shop for more specialized sizes or materials.

Best Practices for Using QR Codes in Your Practice

Tip Why it Matters
Keep the message clear  “Scan to order” or “Leave a review” tells people exactly what to do
Use branded colors and fonts  Makes your marketing feel polished and professional
Test your QR code  Open your smartphone camera and scan to make sure it works
Include a call-to-action  “Scan now to join our wellness newsletter” is better than just a logo
